The purpose of the Curricular Unit Inglés Técnico (secciones 1 y 2- 2024-1) is to provide the student with the competences for the application of reading strategies that facilitate the construction of text
meaning, understood as an interactive process between the reader's previous knowledge (linguistic, sociocultural, professional, popular background) and textual clues (formal, reading competence in the mother tongue (survey of indexes, recognition of hypothesis
and conclusions, relevant information, elaboration of synthesis) and his/her capacity to express the message in the mother tongue in a coherent, clear and precise manner.
